PALILULA MUNICIPALITY - SUPPORTER OF NIS MINI FEST

While in Belgrade we have prestigious movie festival `FEST` 2010 going on these days, we have also  yesterday announced the programme of already traditional `Mini fest` in Niswith the motto `The last cinema performance`.

From February 24 to March 2 movie fans will be able to see 14 movies in the cinema of Serbian Army Club from Belgrade Fest repertoire selection. As the organizers: Srdjan Savic, director of NKC, Dejan Dabic editor of NKC film programme, Dragan Arsovic, producer of distributer house `Pro vision` said yesterday at press conference `Mini fest` will be opened by movie premiere `32 Decembar` http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1347009/  from Republika Srpska directed by Sasa Hajdukovic. `A serious man`, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Serious_Man black comedy by brothers Cohen will be also during the opening night. The projections are from 20 00 and 22 00 hours and cinema tickets are 250 RSD. With any bought ticket one can get dvd of his or her choice. General sponsor of this  year Mini Fest is Reiffeisen Future Bank and festival sponsor friend Dunav osiguranje.

It is a fact that in the third millennium first decade cinema as such has faded somehow and the public is turned more and more to new forms of media culture. Nis, film city and promoter of national films, is loosing the battle with high standards of new technologies-emphasized Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality. `This year Palilula Municipality is also supporter like the previous year of this festival in Nis. The last cinema performance is a warning motto to Nis public and authorized services in Nis to the possibility that Nis could be easily left without any cinema in future`. President Novakovic reminded the press that people from Nis love movies and expect that significant cultural manifestations do not just pass by our city. `Over 5000 visitors of `Mini fest` are good sign of cultural needs of our citizens. Palilula Municipality supported the foundation of this manifestation last year and we are doing the same thing this year. This project in culture is practical realization of our strategic directions of local community development and decentralization of our culture and our cultural inheritance. Keeping cinematography and cinema is a part of our mission and strategical development. Cooperation with the cultural institutions, especially Nis cultural center situated in Palilula, makes us more successful in this`-emphasized the president. That is why we are supporters of the projects that make richer our cultural space and connect the creators.
